Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’ is making a lot of money at the box office, while the film is also in controversy. The film is accused of spreading propaganda. It is also alleged that the film speaks of atrocities on Kashmiri Pandits, but is creating a different atmosphere by telling a one-sided story.
Nana Patekar has broken the silence on this whole matter. In a conversation with a news channel, Nana Patekar said that there is an atmosphere of peace in the country. People of all faiths live here, so it is not appropriate to make unnecessary fuss. Not only that, Nana Patekar said in simple words that looking at ‘The Kashmir Files’, the society will be divided into two parts and it is not appropriate to divide in this way.
Nana Patekar, a veteran actor and always against the society, expressed his views on the ‘The Kashmir Files’ controversy. Nana Patekar said that by making and showing the film, unnecessary controversy is being created, which is not right. He says that both Hindus and Muslims are living in peace in the country. People of both religions live here. In such a situation it is like spoiling the environment.
Nana Patekar said, ‘Hindus and Muslims of India are here. It is important that both communities live in peace. Both communities need each other. Both cannot live without each other in society. In such a situation, it is not appropriate to create controversy because of a single film. It is not appropriate to make such a fuss when all the people are living in peace. Those who are doing so should be held accountable. After watching the film, the society will be divided into two parts, it is not appropriate to create such a rift in the society.
Politics is also at its peak after the release of ‘The Kashmir Files’. At the box office, the film has grossed Rs 95.50 crore in one week. Slogans are being chanted in cinema halls. On social media, people are writing vulgar stories for a certain community, calling the barbaric atrocities on Kashmiri Pandits a genocide. Due to this, the film is also being criticized. Recently, in Delhi, DCP rank officers have been issued a letter asking them to increase security in areas where mixed population i.e. people of different religions live.
Meanwhile, the central government has also given Y-category protection to the film’s director Vivek Agnihotri. It was said that Vivek Agnihotri was receiving death threats. The film ‘The Kashmir Files’ stars Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi and Mithun Chakraborty opposite Anupam Kher. The film was released on March 11 on 700 screens. It is now being shown on more than 2000 screens, considering the huge crowd at the ticket window.
