This is the most miraculous temple of Lakshmi.


Let me tell you that Friday is the day of worship of Goddess Lakshmi. The scriptures say that if a person has financial problems, worshiping Goddess Lakshmi fulfills his mental desires. It is said that worshiping in the mother’s temple on Friday fulfills every human desire.

Similarly today we are going to tell you about a temple which is very ancient. This temple of Goddess Lakshmi is one of the oldest temples in Mumbai. Located on Bhulabhai Desai Marg on the shores of the Arabian Sea, this temple is the main center of faith for millions of people.

Mahalakshmi temple is located very close to the sea. Let us say that the idols of Mahakali and Mahasaraswati are enshrined here along with the idols of Goddess Lakshmi. All three statues are beautifully adorned with gold rings, gold bracelets, and pearl necklaces.

The story of the construction of the temple is very interesting. It is believed that when the British planned to build a Breach Candy Road to connect the Mahalakshmi region with the Worli region due to the stormy waves of the sea, their whole plan failed.

Hundreds of laborers were engaged in the construction of this wall, but every day there were some obstacles. Then Goddess Lakshmi came in the dream of contractor Ramji Shivaji. The goddess said, ‘I have an idol on the beach in Worli.

Get that idol out of there and put me on the beach. Doing so will remove every obstacle. Ramji did the same and after that the construction of Breach Candy Road was completed. Later a small temple of Mahalakshmi was built here.

Later in 1831, a merchant named Dhakaji Dadaji gave the temple a major look and the premises were renovated. Devotees visiting the temple all day cannot see the original idol of Mahalakshmi, as the original idol is covered with a curtain. Happens.

It is said that one has to come here at night to see the real idol. At about 9.30am, the cover is soon removed from the actual statue. So a large number of devotees reach here till late at night.

There is a wall in the temple, where the devotees place coins of their choice. Surprisingly, coins are easily attached to the wall here. By doing so, Goddess Lakshmi fulfills every desire of the devotees.
